Products

Students will collaborate to produce a short spy film, showcasing cultural perspectives and narrative techniques learned from media seminars. They will craft individual spy story narratives, demonstrating mastery of figurative language and effective event sequencing. Students will also present research findings on historical espionage incidents, using multimedia aids to enhance clarity and credibility. Throughout the unit, students will contribute to an art gallery display featuring narrative drafts, film production photos, storyboards, and research documentation, culminating in a Global Spy Gala exhibition.

Launch

To kick off the learning experience, host 'Espionage Night at the Movies,' where students watch selected clips from global spy films, discussing narrative devices and cultural depictions in small groups to ignite curiosity about espionage storytelling techniques. Follow this with the 'Mission HQ: Decode the Files' challenge, where students analyze classic and modern spy narrative snippets for figurative language and tension, encouraging them to dive deep into the theme of espionage. This interactive launch sets the tone for exploring global narratives and developing their own spy stories and films.

Exhibition

Students will present their completed spy films and associated research projects at the 'Global Spy Gala,' an immersive evening event featuring an art gallery style exhibition. The showcase will offer visitors the chance to view narrative drafts, film production snapshots, cultural espionage storyboards, and detailed research findings displayed creatively around the space. During the gala, students will give live presentations that highlight their learning journey, creativity, and the real-world skills they have acquired.
