Students will launch their identity inquiry through Manu Boyd’s storytelling, connect language, knowledge, experiences, and values to identity, and practice designing an engaging gallery experience for a respectful audience.

Students will practice respectful listening, gather firsthand identity and audience evidence from classmates and community members, and organize their findings into an empathy map that will guide the Aloha Identity Gallery design.
Days 3 - 8
Define & Prototype
Define & Prototype
Students will transform audience evidence into a focused design brief, build distinct gallery concepts, and create low-fidelity identity portfolio and music prototypes ready for user testing and refinement.
Days 9 - 13
Test & Refine
Test & Refine
Students will test identity artifacts and music with intended users, trace feedback to two rounds of revisions, refine the gallery layout, and demonstrate readiness for the Aloha Identity Gallery Walk.
Days 14 - 18
Showcase
Showcase
Students will host the Aloha Identity Gallery Walk, present their visual and musical identity work to an authentic audience, respond empathetically to questions, and use visitor and peer feedback to reflect on their growth.
