Students will launch the project by experiencing space phenomena firsthand, analyzing Artemis images for positional clues, building shared investigation routines in their notebooks, and completing an early checkpoint that sets expectations for accurate modeling, evidence use, and revision.

Launch Mystery
Students will investigate Artemis images and Sun-Earth-Moon phenomena through hands-on modeling, careful observation, and evidence logging. They will refine investigable questions, test early explanations with peers, and produce a feedback-informed question and hypothesis that can guide the next phase of model planning.

Plan Methodology
Plan Methodology
Students will design and peer-review a clear investigation plan for building accurate Sun-Earth-Moon and Artemis models. They will decide what evidence counts, how scale and position will be represented, and how they will document assumptions, calculations, and revisions before moving into evidence collection.

Build Data Records
Build Data Records
Students will collect and organize traceable evidence for their Sun-Earth-Moon and Artemis models by building accurate records, linking each model choice to observations, images, measurements, and scale calculations, and revising those records through feedback before moving to quality checks.
Days 19 - 24
Check Model Quality
Check Model Quality
Students will test the accuracy of their Sun-Earth-Moon and Artemis models against evidence, check scale and geometry decisions, revise notebooks and model features through critique cycles, and complete a midpoint quality gate before moving into final analysis.

Analyze & Showcase
Students will analyze evidence from their investigation logs and models, identify patterns and anomalies in the Sun-Earth-Moon-Artemis system, strengthen claims with visualizations and source notes, revise their models through critique, and complete a final accuracy check before presenting polished work to a public audience.

Students will finalize and present their Sun-Earth-Moon and Artemis mission models to an authentic audience, defend model accuracy with evidence and scale reasoning, complete a final content assessment, and document glows, grows, and collaboration insights from the full investigation cycle.
