Students will launch the project by analyzing contrasting local need evidence, hearing how grantmakers judge fundable ideas, and producing a first-draft impact plan that names a priority problem, uses stakeholder and data evidence, and sets up revision work for the next phase.

Students will strengthen their funding argument by tightening claim-evidence-reasoning structure, aligning budget choices to measurable outcomes, revising from peer and partner feedback, and defending their proposal against live questions with credible evidence and rebuttals.

Students will present and defend a polished funding pitch board and one-page impact plan to a community foundation or nonprofit grantmaker, respond to live questions with evidence, and close the project by identifying which proof was most convincing and what revisions would strengthen the proposal further.
