Students will launch the investigation by connecting personal experiences of disruption to the project’s central inquiry, analyzing a short set of cross-cultural provocations, and generating an initial researchable question about how outside forces reshape family systems, identity, and authority.
Day 1
Question & Methods
Question & Methods
Students will turn personal and text-based observations about disruption into a focused historical investigation by refining a question, selecting credible evidence types, and drafting a peer-reviewed methodology plan for research on colonization, industrialization, family systems, and indigenous community change.
Days 2 - 4
Analyze & Present
Analyze & Present
Students will turn their research and reading into defensible historical claims by organizing evidence, identifying contradictions, drafting a multimedia life map, and revising with peer and teacher feedback so their work is ready for the public showcase.
Days 5 - 7
Showcase
Showcase
Students will present their completed digital life maps and historical investigation claims to an authentic audience, respond to questions with evidence, and reflect on how their understanding of cultural disruption, family systems, and adaptation changed through the project.
