Students will launch the inquiry by analyzing local Madera evidence, connecting the essential question to their own identities and experiences, and drafting an initial community issue direction they will investigate in later phases.

Students will design and peer-review a credible investigation plan for a Madera community issue, selecting methods, sources, vocabulary, and documentation tools before drafting a proposal-style evidence plan that connects identity, power, and predicted findings.

Analyze & Present Findings
Students will analyze their collected evidence, test patterns against counterexamples, refine claim-evidence-reasoning about a Madera community issue, and present a revised findings draft that connects identity, power, and local conditions to a realistic proposal direction.

Showcase
Students will present their final Madera community issue proposals to classmates and invited Ethnic Studies or district partners, respond to audience and peer critique, and complete a final reflection on identity, evidence, collaboration, and next steps.
