Students will launch the inquiry by analyzing local Madera evidence, connecting the essential question to their own identities and experiences, and drafting an initial community issue direction they will investigate in later phases.

Students will examine local patterns, texts, and lived experiences to generate a focused investigable question about a Madera community issue, test early explanations about how identity shapes navigation of the world, and refine their inquiry through evidence, peer critique, and revision.

Students will design and peer-review a credible investigation plan for a Madera community issue, selecting methods, sources, vocabulary, and documentation tools before drafting a proposal-style evidence plan that connects identity, power, and predicted findings.

Students will analyze their collected evidence, test patterns against counterexamples, refine claim-evidence-reasoning about a Madera community issue, and present a revised findings draft that connects identity, power, and local conditions to a realistic proposal direction.
