Students will launch the career inquiry by listening to a local worker, asking questions about how the job supports the Imperial Valley, and recording first-round notes about a career they may want to investigate.

Students will review evidence from the Future Finder Expo and their early notes, sort what they learned about one Imperial Valley career, and write a clear problem statement that explains a community need, the worker role, and why that career matters to families, businesses, and the community.

Students will turn their early career research and community insights into multiple poster-board concept ideas, compare which ideas best communicate user needs and evidence, and choose a strong direction for the draft phase.

Students will turn their research notes, interview evidence, and career-interest connections into a first-draft Imperial Valley career poster board and short speaking plan, then improve the draft through structured peer feedback and revision.

Students will test their draft Imperial Valley career poster boards with peers, gather specific feedback about clarity, evidence, visuals, and personal connection, then revise their work using that feedback before moving to formal critique.

Students will participate in a structured gallery critique of their Imperial Valley career poster boards, give evidence-based feedback to two peers, receive feedback on their own board, and make a brief revision plan for final improvements before reflection and exhibition.

Students will share their finished Imperial Valley career poster boards in a brief Career Compass Walkabout, respond to peer and visitor feedback, and document how their research, revisions, and personal career thinking changed during the project.
