Students will investigate kitchen safety problems using photos, demonstrations, and checklists; develop a testable safety question and hypothesis; draft a precise multistep procedure and evidence-recording tool for an upcoming lab; revise their work through peer and teacher feedback; and use pre-test corrections to build an evidence-based study plan for the required safety assessment.

Students will complete the kitchen safety readiness milestone by demonstrating accurate procedures, presenting evidence from their investigation notebook and team safety poster, and passing the 50-question safety assessment required for cooking lab participation.
