Launch
Students will launch the ecosystem investigation by comparing contrasting habitat evidence, learning a field-style sampling approach from a university ecology partner, and drafting an initial evidence-based claim and investigation focus for their ecosystem impact poster.
Day 1
Research & Plan
Research & Plan
Students will refine a focused ecosystem limiting-factor investigation, study field-style evidence with a university ecology partner, and create a peer-reviewed sampling and analysis plan that prepares them to collect valid data and defend an evidence-based hypothesis about survival, growth, biodiversity, and human impact.
Days 2 - 5
Showcase
Showcase
Students will present their ecosystem impact posters and 3-minute data talks to an authentic audience, defend their evidence-based claims about limiting factors, and reflect on how feedback, data, and revision shaped their final conclusions and proposed solution.
