Students revisit selected episodes from Gillian Cross’s retelling and use a color-coded case tracker to sort intention, action, immediate result, later result, and affected people. The teacher models how traits such as pride, loyalty, courage, and leadership can influence a decision differently from the final outcome. Students then compare one Odysseus decision to the community leader example in a short evidence discussion.
