Teams study 2 short mentor models for teaching difficult history to younger audiences, such as a museum panel, a memorial plaque, or a child-friendly history display. Using sticky notes and a notice/wonder/chart protocol, students identify effective features including source balance, respectful tone, visual clarity, and how eyewitness evidence is connected to historical significance. Teams then name 3 design moves they will adapt for their own 9/11 mini-exhibit and script without copying.
