Students submit a polished identity-to-action map with their focused research question, draft hypothesis, and a short method plan naming at least two evidence sources they will collect next. The teacher uses a rubric conference to verify that the pathway is logical, the question is feasible, and the plan is ready for Phase 3. Students who need revision use conference notes to make targeted fixes before moving on.
