🧠 CER Warrant Moves

Content Expertise Effective Communication MA:Re7.1.iii.b VA:Pr.6.1 CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.9-10.1 Submission Required

Using mentor passages from "I Have a Dream," "Letter from Birmingham Jail," and student research notes, the class studies how a claim becomes convincing when evidence is followed by explicit reasoning. Students color-code one model paragraph for claim, evidence, and warrant, then practice strengthening weak warrants that do not fully explain how the evidence proves the point.
