Using a teacher-modeled set of articles, infographics, and opinion pieces on community issues, students practice checking author expertise, publication, date, evidence quality, and bias. They annotate one sample source with a credibility code and discuss how weak sourcing can damage a public argument. The class then builds a shared checklist they will use in their research logs.
