In small groups, students turn their observations into one testable question about how rocket height changes over time and write a matching hypothesis. The teacher then models a simple data-collection planning tool using a stopwatch, height estimate source, unit labels, and a launch log. Groups draft their own method page naming roles, materials, variables to record, and how they will use a graphing tool or table to build a quadratic equation after launch. Each group gives feedback to 2 peers, receives feedback, and revises the question and method before submitting a cleaner version.
