Teams respond to a short park problem such as trail erosion, wildfire risk, or wildlife disturbance, then share one solution that keeps the park welcoming while protecting habitat. The class listens to a brief ranger kickoff video or teacher-shared ranger message, then each student writes one question for the upcoming ranger Q&A and one first idea about what makes a place worth protecting on a sticky note or voice note. The teacher uses these to preview the visitor guide project, team norms, and the research work coming next.
