👀 Exemplar Exploration

Students closely observe photo cards, teacher-made mini models, and a short live demonstration showing bare soil, grass, mulch, and small water channels on farmland trays. With heavy teacher prompting, teams name what they notice helps keep soil in place and sort picture cues into “helps soil stay” and “soil washes away.” They use these observations to generate original ideas for their own farmland protection model for a local farmer or 4-H visitor.
