📐 Scale Map and Symbol Practice

Using graph paper, rulers, and a simplified residential symbol key, students practice reading room dimensions and placing outlet, switch, and fixture symbols on a sample tiny home room. The teacher models scale conversion and spacing decisions just before teams apply the process to their own layout notes. Students add labeled symbols to their design notebook for later use in the brief.
