🧭 Government Roles Case Sort

Using short case cards on immigration, migration, and environmental actions, students sort examples into national, state, and local authority and defend their choices with civic vocabulary. The teacher then models how a policy idea can fail if it is assigned to the wrong level of government, using real bill and ordinance excerpts. Students annotate a three-column authority chart that they will use later when drafting a bill.
