🗂️ Counterevidence Claim Conference

Students draft a short CER evidence brief that names their current policy claim, strongest supporting evidence, strongest counterevidence, and a revised position statement. In a structured peer protocol, each student gives feedback to 2 peers, receives feedback, and revises for stronger reasoning, better source use, and fairer treatment of opposing views. The class closes with the required Mock Congress-style roundtable: one idea that changed, one source that strengthened thinking, and one question still open about freedom, equality, and safety.
