📋 California Industry Empathy Board

Students create an empathy board that combines research notes, expert interview evidence, and audience-centered thinking about who is affected by California industries, such as farmers, engineers, port workers, tourists, and families. They draft a short industry snapshot with one map-based fact, one expert detail, and one question for further research, then give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise their board before submitting it. The teacher reviews the revised board as a milestone gate before students move into the next phase of defining their problem and focus industry.
