Teams build a first working prototype from cardboard, tape, cups, string, marbles, rulers, craft sticks, and other classroom materials. Midway through the session, each team gives feedback to 2 peers, receives feedback, and revises one mechanism and one welcoming feature before the end of class. Teams finish by adding photos or quick sketches to their engineering journal and sorting feedback into strengths, needs, and next steps.
