⚖️ Counterclaim Rebuttal Workshop

Students examine examples of fair concessions, strawman rebuttals, and evidence-based responses drawn from arguments about the Boston Tea Party, abolitionist resistance, suffrage, and Civil Rights protests. They draft a serious opposing claim to their own position, identify the strongest evidence behind it, and plan a rebuttal that acknowledges what is valid before challenging the interpretation. Small groups test whether each rebuttal actually answers the counterclaim.
