Students complete a short performance checkpoint in which they submit their revised sorting board and defend, in writing, why one source is their strongest support and another is their strongest challenge. The teacher uses a rubric to confirm readiness for Phase 4 and conferences briefly with students who still need stronger source balance or clearer credibility reasoning.
