Students revisit their research portfolio, stakeholder notes, and problem statement to write a testable design prediction in an If..., then... format. They define what change their solution is expected to produce for users and choose 1-2 observable indicators such as clearer wayfinding, stronger visibility of local assets, or improved understanding of neighborhood needs. A short mini-lesson models how to connect user needs, variables, and measurable outcomes before students draft and refine their statement.
