Students analyze a short set of neighborhood artifacts including a CTA access map, a public space image set, a Chinatown small-business snapshot, and brief resident quotes. The class uses a notice-wonder-problem routine to identify patterns in transit, community assets, and belonging, then sorts possible challenge areas on a shared board. Students leave with an initial evidence bank they can use in later drafts.
