Using the clue sort and source matrix, teams build a visual pattern board that links evidence across case details, legal barriers, and available supports. Students write a tentative hypothesis about what factors most affect immigrant belonging and community access, then note one competing interpretation and one gap in the evidence. This becomes the team’s first analytical claim for later testing.
