🗣️ Position Line on Well-Being

Students respond to a controversy statement about whether MLK’s letter proves that systemic racism causes psychological harm, then defend their placement on a position line with textual evidence. In small groups, they build on peers’ ideas, challenge claims respectfully, and identify one possible counterpoint or weak warrant in each argument. Students then use a CER organizer to draft a tentative thesis, two reasons, and one counterclaim they may need to investigate further.
