Students examine a short set of modeled sources: an excerpt from Letter from Birmingham Jail, a mental health disparities data visual, and a current news report about systemic racism. Using a credibility checklist, they compare author expertise, publication context, data transparency, and relevance to psychological well-being, then discuss how persuasive technique differs from valid evidence. They annotate which sources could support a claim, complicate it, or require caution.
