Students will enter the project as a newsroom team by examining mixed historical evidence, recording quick field-report updates, and identifying questions about what happened, why it mattered, and who was affected.

Students will investigate a historical event through evidence stations, record brief field-report updates, refine a focused research question with a testable hypothesis, and complete a source-based reporting plan with guidance from a media professional.

Students will organize verified historical evidence, refine an anchor script through peer and teacher feedback, and produce a concise news broadcast segment with visuals or audio that explains the event, its impact, and any limits or conflicts in the evidence.

Students will present their historical news broadcast to an authentic school audience, demonstrate clear and credible reporting, and reflect on how evidence, revision, and teamwork shaped their final segment.
