Students use field notebooks, habitat photo cards, and organism note slips from Bernheim to sort evidence into forest, wetland, and grassland categories. The class names what counts as a strong observation, a question, or a claim, then students color-code living parts, nonliving parts, and survival evidence on a shared chart.
