📓 Evidence Plan Mini-Lesson

Students study sample field notebook pages, tally charts, and simple trait comparison tables they will use at Bernheim. The class compares three evidence-gathering methods—sketch-and-label observations, yes/no habitat checklists, and organism trait tallies—and discusses what each method can and cannot show. Students then choose a method set for their question and begin a one-page observation plan with roles, tools, and what they will record.
