🕵️ Pollution Detectives Kickoff
Teams receive a local scenario card, listen to the driving question, and join a brief school-gate observation walk with the security guard to record traffic, idling, dust, odors, and water-related clues in their Pollution Investigation Notebook. Back in class, students sort observations into direct evidence vs inference, identify at least five likely pollutants for their scenario, and draft a first pollution source map on chart paper with arrows linking pollutant, source, and likely impact. Groups then complete a fast gallery walk: they give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise their map before submitting an exit question they may investigate in the next phase. End with a short circle discussion naming one chemistry idea clarified, one teamwork strength used, and one challenge to solve next.
