Students will launch the investigation by sharing a fascinating object or selected classroom item, naming clues from first observations, sorting an initial question for future testing, and closing with a quick reflection circle.

Students will turn early wonderings into one testable investigation question by observing closely, comparing evidence methods, and co-planning how to gather reliable clues. They will use short peer feedback rounds, revise their questions and methods, and create a visible plan board that guides the next phase of testing.

Students will sort and interpret evidence from their investigations, turn patterns and anomalies into labeled visuals and supported claims, use peer feedback to revise their explanations, and assemble their before-and-after thinking boards and clue exhibit station pieces for the public showcase.

Students will present their class clue exhibit to families and local experts, explain how their thinking changed using a before-and-after board, share evidence-based claims about how their chosen object or system works, and close with a quick reflection circle naming one clue, one remaining question, and one feeling from the investigation.
