Students submit a cleaned evidence log, annotated visuals, and a short checkpoint explanation stating who appears affected and what evidence is strongest so far. The teacher reviews each set for traceability, balance of perspectives, and readiness to move into explanation writing. Students who meet the benchmark begin organizing evidence clusters; others complete targeted revisions during the closing block.
