Students practice close visual analysis using satellite images and place-based photographs from their case region. They annotate visible landforms, built features, water access points, vegetation patterns, and signs of human activity with colored labels and short evidence notes. Teams then compare what is clearly visible, what needs corroboration from another source, and what seems contradictory or surprising.
