Students learn a short annotation routine for reading political maps, physical maps, satellite images, and photographs from one shared regional case. Using colored pencils, sticky notes, and a visual evidence chart in their notebooks, they label cultural and environmental patterns and discuss how rivers, coastlines, forests, farms, or built spaces shape daily life and identity. Pairs give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise one annotation set for stronger evidence use.
