✏️ Zine Spread Thumbnails

After a mini-lesson on how mentor zines and anthology pages combine narrative writing, quotations, captions, and layout choices, students sketch three different thumbnail concepts for one Belonging booklet spread. Each concept must include a personal narrative moment, a short story evidence insert, and a brief author’s purpose statement box. Students then give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise one thumbnail to better match audience needs and the project purpose.
