✍️ Local Writer Revision Notes

A local author, journalist, or poet joins for a brief feedback session as students share a selected excerpt from their personal narrative or author’s purpose statement. Students record one comparison between the guest’s craft choices and their own writing, then complete a short revision note naming what they will change next in their anthology pages. To close, pairs revisit the essential question and cite one piece of story evidence and one draft detail that shows how their thinking about belonging is shifting.
