🗣️ Writer Questions and Belonging Notes

Students listen to a local author, journalist, or poet discuss craft choices that help readers understand belonging, then capture notes in two columns: writer moves and belonging insights. In pairs, students generate interview-style questions, discuss what real users might say about feeling included or excluded, and record at least three evidence-based takeaways that can inform later How Might We statements. The class closes with a brief pair-share circle revisiting the essential question and citing one detail from the short story or guest comments.
