Students will launch the School of 2035 challenge by examining local school design issues, identifying early user-centered questions, and producing an initial evidence-based sketch of features they think a future-ready campus should include before beginning deeper stakeholder research.

Students will gather and analyze stakeholder evidence about what a future-ready school should include, then build an empathy artifact that captures user needs, hopes, barriers, and assumptions grounded in Mid-Hudson Valley context.

Students will turn stakeholder research into clear design problems, set measurable criteria and constraints, generate multiple future-ready school concepts, and use structured feedback to choose one evidence-based direction for prototyping.

Students will turn their selected School of 2035 concepts into testable prototypes, use structured critique and stakeholder input to validate design choices, and document at least two rounds of revision before preparing a stakeholder-ready walkthrough of how evidence shaped their final prototype decisions.

Students will present their School of 2035 proposals to an authentic audience, explain how stakeholder evidence and scientific reasoning shaped their designs, gather final feedback from community reviewers, and reflect on how their work grew through iteration and collaboration.
