Students join a park ranger or public lands steward for a guided local site walk focused on visible signs of shared-resource use, strain, and unequal access. Using printed base maps, observation note-catchers, and phone or tablet photos, teams mark hotspots, user behaviors, ecological impacts, and questions to investigate further. The class closes with a short debrief connecting field evidence to AP Human Geography ideas about commons management.
