Using launch-day notes, primary-source photos, testimony excerpts, maps, and the WWII novel passage, students sort possible inquiry angles into health, politics, ethics, literature, and leadership lenses. The teacher models how to turn broad curiosity into a focused, investigable question and a cautious hypothesis that can be tested with sources rather than opinion. Students draft one question, one hypothesis, and two follow-up subquestions in their investigation notebook.
