🧭 Compass Routes and Map Titles

Using the giant wall map, students practice reading map titles, compass roses, and cardinal/intermediate directions to trace sample yarn routes from Kentucky to assigned regions. In pairs, they record one passport checkpoint sentence and one sketch showing how a map title and direction words helped them locate a place. The lesson ends with a quick circle stem and a partner revision of one label or direction word before students add a passport stamp.
