Using anchor examples from the water project, students practice separating a user need from a solution idea and turn observation evidence into draft How Might We statements. The teacher models how to cite a real user observation, note, or question before writing the statement. Students then draft two possible HMW statements for the local water connection exhibit and annotate each one with the evidence that supports it.
