Students study age-appropriate mentor examples such as a simple solar oven model, light-blocking window shade design, insulated container, hand-crank device, or a sample pitch-deck slide showing a school energy idea. In teams, they identify features that make each example effective, including labeled diagrams, clear criteria, efficient materials use, and explanation of environmental benefits.
