💡 Rounding Toolkit Brainstorm & Storyboards

In small teams, students revisit their team “How Might We” statement (e.g., helping busy shoppers estimate totals) and complete a rapid brainstorm of at least 15 different solution ideas in 8 minutes (quantity over quality). Ideas might include interactive number lines, flipbook guides, grocery price games, rounding songs, or place value sliders. Teams then select their top 2–3 ideas using a simple user-fit chart (Which idea best helps our user? Which makes rounding to the nearest ten or hundred clear?). Finally, they create labeled concept sketches or 4-step storyboards showing how a real user would use the solution during a grocery estimation scenario, clearly marking where the user rounds to the nearest ten or hundred.
