🗺️ Build-a-Colony Evidence Sprint

In small groups, students draw a colonial region card, role cards, resource clues, and a short source set with one primary source excerpt, one secondary source excerpt, and a regional map. They choose a settlement location on a large class map, sort evidence into push factors, pull factors, geography, religion, movement of goods/people, and possible risks, then draft a quick exhibit board section with a settlement map and a 2-3 sentence claim-and-evidence museum label. Groups complete a gallery walk, give feedback to 2 peers with sticky notes on claim clarity, evidence use, and regional fit, receive feedback on their own board, and revise their settlement plan before a brief share-out tied to the question, “What does it take to build a society?”
