Students visit the three-acre school site and complete a first-walk survey using clipboards, flagging maps, and phone or tablet photos. They mark access points, dense honeysuckle or privet areas, native tree locations, hazards, and visible signs of past human use. A brief notebook entry captures one academic insight and one teamwork or perseverance moment.
