At the Ozark Science Center, students use field notebooks to record biodiversity, light conditions, soil features, water movement, and signs of human impact in a healthy Ozark habitat. They complete a guided compare-and-contrast sketch set, take labeled notes, and collect at least one question about how a healthy system differs from the campus property. The visit closes with the project challenge and essential question introduction.
